World History assignment for Monday, April 13
Today we start a new unit called Absolutism to Revolution. European nations develop and grow as the continent finally comes out of the Dark Ages. Feudalism with its Lords, Knights/Vassals, and Manors is replaced by capitalism and the growth of the merchant, middle class on a personal level; along with Mercantilism, Imperialism, and powerful Absolute Monarchs on a national level.
We start our study with Absolute Monarchs and the Sun King, Louis XIV (the 14th) of France. In many ways he sets the tone for all the absolute monarchs as he rules with total control for 72 years! Here are the notes from Sway followed by a quiz from Quizizz that will go in Synergy.
